Video Game Rambling

I get asked a lot by people in real life "why did you get a DSi XL when the 3DS was announced weeks before the DSi XL was released?" So I've compsed five reasonss why I got one.

1) My DS has some stuck pixels and they really detract from my gaming.

2) I have a roommate and we both like playing on the DS. This way, there's no fight over the DS.

3) The DS only has two light settings: on and off.

4) A bigger touch screen makes it easier for my roommate and I to play the games due to our poor fine motor skills.

5) The DSi XL has both an internet browser and Flipbook Studio already on the system.

But does this mean I won't be getting a 3DS? Not a chance. I intend on saving about six hundred while waiting for news on any launch titles. If there's three or more that I want to get, then I'll buy a 3DS.

When I debate getting a new system, I wait until the system has three games that interests me before I buy it.

I waited until two years into the DS's life before I got my first DS system. At first, I only could buy games once every few months. The first game I got for it was Pokemon Diamond Version. Later, I got Etrian Odyssey and Digimon World Dusk. Now, I have a huge pile of games for it like Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Platinum Version, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver versions, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, Big Bang Mini, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen, Rune Factory, and Final Fantasy 4. I'm borrowing Final Fantasy 3 from a friend.

If the massive list of games that was revealed for the 3DS turn out to be launch titles, there'll be tons of games that would interest me, so that'll be fun. Ocarina of Time, Animal Crossing, and Sims 3 are the games I remember from the list that rather interests me.

I'm running to the end of what I can post on my DSi. Roommate is watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. I've seen this certain episode before. Plus, I must push myself to go get groceries.

~Until Later!
