One Person's Bad Day is Another Person's Good Day

I just came to the realization that I'm having a rather nasty day. I went to my appointment and found out that what I really want to take is at a college that I didn't register at. Why? Because they're not taking any more people. And to top it all off, I won't get any classes until January which doesn't bother me. But what got me was that I was halfway to the bus stop and I saw the bus and I booked it.

The result? Both of my knees and ankles are rebelling against me and the water bottle and Pokewalker I had on me (literally on me) disappeared. I don't remember when and I really don't care cause neither of those are irreplaceable. I just rather liked the black sport bottle (the one that soaked me yesterday) if only because it's cleaner than the red duplicate one (because I had milk in it a few days ago and failed to clean it). I went back to the College just to look for it, looking like an idiot the whole time.

Roommate, however, is having a much better day. He didn't sleep past 12:30 and he even found the debit card that he was missing. And tore up the apartment in the process. Through the entire time it was missing, I kept telling him that if he just simply cleaned his half of the studio apartment, he'd find it a lot faster. I still think he would have found it the day he noticed that it was missing but he found it anyways.

And I still feel like I'll die if I stand up. Which I just might even if it hurts when Sylvester (my black and white "tuxedo" cat) decides that my feet = cat toys.

Also just to make my day worse, I'm going through the worst PMS ever. Headache, cramping, deadly mood swings... yeah. Oh and exhaustion. Rather crappy time to have a bad day.

Annoyances, Feline Antics, and my Misadventures

Well, I finally just got to be able to be on my laptop. It's rather annoying since roommate closed out all of the stuff on firefox (which doesn't bother me since I usually just re-open it and voila! everything I was looking at is there), but then he looked stuff up on firefox and I could only find half of what I was doing. :( But that's just a tiny annoyance compared to that I swear he was trying to suffocate my laptop. I realize he was asleep and didn't mean to cover the laptop with layers of blankets but it's annoying because I can feel the skin of my fingers melt every time I touch a key (no not really).

I finally got to cook something last night and it was okay. I got to make meatloaf and I should've used a smaller pan because it was spread out to the point that the outside was singed a little. But it was still tasty and edible. It's still nowhere close to how my dad made his meatloaf though. :( I know this for a fact because there's leftovers. My dad's meatloaf never had leftovers. Ever. I'm just glad that this time I didn't forget the eggs. And I managed to eye up the proper amount of ketchup too. ^_^ Cooking is fun, especially cooking with meat because then my hands look like I just murdered someone and if I ever walk out into society with the hands or if someone came to visit, I'd be thought of as a murderer. When in real life, all I'm guilty of is cooking.

It's this reason that I wear capris in the summer. I own a very hyper and rambunctious feline so I have scratches on my hands, arms, and legs and I swear when emos look at me, they think I cut myself too. In reality, it's just that I've yet to get my cat's claws trimmed. I've tried buying him toys to play with but he's quite hard on his toys. A few months ago, I got him a cat toy which looks like a fishing rod but has felt strips connecting the plastic pole with a catnip-filled mouse. Within a month, the strips of felt were destroyed and the mouse was properly gutted and was buried in the sink by said cat. It was quite funny when roommate was cleaning out the sink and he found the destroyed toy mouse.

About the same time, I got him this toy which connects to door frames and has a toy bird dangling from an elastic cord. I don't know where the toy bird is but that cord's been chewed up in several places. If only I could find a toy for that cat that he wouldn't completely destroy within a month. Of course, this cat is also quite odd. He has a habit that when all of the humans are asleep, he drops one of his toys into the toilet bowl. Really. I don't understand why or anything, he just does that.

As for what else happened yesterday, I did something completely stupid. I mean I graduated from High School and yet I did something so incredibly stupid that people from the school system should drop by my apartment and rescind my High School diploma kinda stupid.

Now to explain the object with which I did the stupid action with. Last week, my mom dropped off yet another box of things she didn't want and it was filled with these strange cups I never seen before. They have a lid that twists on and off and on top of the lid is a reclosable opening. But instead of closing it by pushing down, these things have a tab that you press into place. Roommate called these things "sports cups". I googled that and found everything but pictures of said cups.

And now for the stupid thing that I did. I was making cold tea in it and I had put the tea bag and sugar in it and I just got done filling it with tap water. After screwing it on, I started to shake it to mix up the contents. If I was the intelligent person I should have been, especially seeing that I was a star science student, I would have remembered the physics of doing so before actually proceeding. Especially the bits concerning Newton's Third Law of Motion (every action has an equal and opposite reaction) and gravity. But I didn't. Not only did I fail to realize that the rubber part of the closing tabs would not keep the water inside the cup, but I also failed to realize that it might be an intelligent idea to put a finger on the tab to keep it from opening.

So not only did I shake the cup and its contents, but I turned it upside down and on the first downward motion, the liquid escaped from its prison in which it would have been easily devoured and covered my legs, feet, floor and a bit of the stove. My cat was, not surprisingly, nowhere to be seen.

As for today, I've got an intake appointment with a DSS (Disability Support Services) counselor for College in a few hours and with all these detours, this is going to be fun.

Video Game Rambling

I get asked a lot by people in real life "why did you get a DSi XL when the 3DS was announced weeks before the DSi XL was released?" So I've compsed five reasonss why I got one.

1) My DS has some stuck pixels and they really detract from my gaming.

2) I have a roommate and we both like playing on the DS. This way, there's no fight over the DS.

3) The DS only has two light settings: on and off.

4) A bigger touch screen makes it easier for my roommate and I to play the games due to our poor fine motor skills.

5) The DSi XL has both an internet browser and Flipbook Studio already on the system.

But does this mean I won't be getting a 3DS? Not a chance. I intend on saving about six hundred while waiting for news on any launch titles. If there's three or more that I want to get, then I'll buy a 3DS.

When I debate getting a new system, I wait until the system has three games that interests me before I buy it.

I waited until two years into the DS's life before I got my first DS system. At first, I only could buy games once every few months. The first game I got for it was Pokemon Diamond Version. Later, I got Etrian Odyssey and Digimon World Dusk. Now, I have a huge pile of games for it like Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Platinum Version, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver versions, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, Big Bang Mini, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen, Rune Factory, and Final Fantasy 4. I'm borrowing Final Fantasy 3 from a friend.

If the massive list of games that was revealed for the 3DS turn out to be launch titles, there'll be tons of games that would interest me, so that'll be fun. Ocarina of Time, Animal Crossing, and Sims 3 are the games I remember from the list that rather interests me.

I'm running to the end of what I can post on my DSi. Roommate is watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. I've seen this certain episode before. Plus, I must push myself to go get groceries.

Introduction and Rambling

And now, this. I've gone through with all my ideas for the name of a blog and I was like "okay, let's try the craziest name I can find!" Funny, it was completely open, ripe for the picking. Then I was like "I don't want to focus that much on being an Aspie. I want to find something different!" So I tried everything my Aspie mind can dredge up. Nothing. Everything I tried was taken. So I went with my craziest idea for the name of this blog and here I am. Trying badly to come up with a half decent post. Nothing.

Not even my psycho, hyperactive feline is doing anything to even mention. He's probably sleeping in a box somewhere. My roommate...well, forget it. He's as exciting as a log because I swear he's doing a good imitation of one being sawed. If he even snored...

"You're more creative than I am," he told me. Apparently, not creative enough to come up with anything good for a blog post.

In all, just a lazy sunday early evening in summer. Thank goodness for air conditioning.

As for what I do with my life...well...I do nothing. -_- I've been on Disability since I was ten or eleven, so I think I've gotten used to accepting money from the government. I can't wait until January when I start going to college. Maybe then, I can do something with my life. Well, other than video game design as a hobby. That's assuming that I don't have to spend years working on my crappy math skills. Even in my Junior year in High School, I couldn't even pass the whole year of Freshman-level Integrated Math I. -_- And I'm an ASPIE!! My mind is supposed to THRIVE on logic and math is the very language of LOGIC other than science! :(

I just hope that maybe my next blog post is better than this "this is who I am" kinda post.

And now for more rambling...

I know I mentioned that video game design is a hobby, so I might as well mention my current big project. It's a fan-made game based on my favorite franchise. I feel kinda pathetic that I'm 22, just now getting into College, and I still play video games. I know some video games I like are actually normal for people my age to play, like Final Fantasy, Fallout, Borderlands, BioShock, and Oblivion. But my favorite one of them all is Pokemon. I guess it's because it's the first video game I ever beaten. Or that it was my first handheld game that can be called a game. Or just that the game allowed me to beat it with any creature I liked. Sure, it was linear to a point but it never felt like I was completely on rails. (I'm staring straight at you, Final Fantasy 13!!!)

That and I guess I never got over the whole childish-ness of the games. Even now, I still find myself excited over the fact that a new group of Pokemon games are to be released in a couple of months in Japan. Or that the more I examine the games, the more intricate they appear. or it could be that I'm just an overgrown child.

But still, video games aren't my...wait...what was I saying? Video games are just about my life, as much as being tethered to the wonder that is known as the internet. Without either, my life would just implode. I mean, I've been playing video games since I was three when my dad had the Atari 2600. The one we had had the wood finish and that thing never broke for as long as we had it. Too bad we moved and lost that piece of gold. :(

Well, to make things really random, I just went on Amazon and found that they're going for $40. I remember playing Pac-Man, Asteroids, Megamania: a space nightmare, Space Invaders, and Super Breakout every chance I had. And now I'm happy with my 360, DS, DSi XL, with the chance of getting my GameCube, NES, and PS1 moved from Alaska to my current residence in Washington State. :) And maybe then, I can hunt down a copy of Final Fantasy 7 just so I can beat it...yeah, I've tried playing it two times already and each time something happened:

The first time: Roommate had it and a PS2. I got to get super far into the first disc and then everyone split up.

The second time: my former roommate loaned me his copy of the PC version. The laptop I had couldn't play it without a keyboard so it was useless.

So yeah. I hope maybe when I get my PS1, I could finally buy the darn game so I can finally beat it. I guess this is what happens when you barely touched Final Fantasy until a friend loans you a PSP and their copy of Crisis Core and you beat it within three days. It was one short game. Not even Dawn of Souls is that short. Even though I haven't touched that, Final Fantasy 3, 4, 6, and 13 in a while. I guess I just wish that 13 didn't bother me as much as it does. I guess it drives me nuts because up until 13, I enjoyed the series and I thought it was a good idea to pre-order 13. And now I barely touch it because I've had to restart my save file from the beginning three times already.

The first time, I realized that I completely screwed up the Crystarium for my characters. The second time, I found out that the method I was using the first time was correct and I had to grind to fix my issues. The third time, my 360 red ringed when my roommate was playing it and decided to replace it with a 360 ELITE. To my astonishment and annoyance, apparently the elite can't save to a hard drive that came with the entry-level 360. Za? I paid money for a 360 and its hard drive and it can't be saved to with an Elite? Microsoft, why? Why must you torture me so?!

Oh and to make matters worse, roommate put an open bottle of Mountain Dew next to the not-in-use hard drive that had all of my save files on it that I was going to buy a transfer kit for and set me up for the events that were to come. I had accidentally knocked over roommate's cube of dice when I tossed something to him (can't remember what) and I had felt guilty and started picking the dice up. I saw a spider near me and I did what any sane, red-blooded woman would do.

I ran away screaming.

I didn't realize until later that in my rush to get the *beep* away, I knocked the open bottle of Mountain Dew over, drowning the hard drive. I haven't gotten the transfer kit because apparently, the hard drive is now toast. Roommate told me how it uses solid save states and that any liquid would make it never ever work. So now, I'm barely an hour into Final Fantasy 13 as compared to where my first save was, which was well into the second disc. -_-

But to make up for it, the hard drive that came with the Elite came with all five expansions for Fallout 3, one of which I had been missing from my previous hard drive. :D

Well, enough of my rambling. I'll post something up when/if I find anything else to post. I'll try to keep it from getting too geeky for you guys.
